Nosework Games

Nosework Games was created by Marie Poole of Nosework Dogs in order to provide skill-based competitions that would enable teams to compete and be tested on foundation skills. Each trial consists of three different "games" that contribute to an overall score. Each game has multiple finds, meaning there are lots of opportunities for your dog to be successful and have a great time. Rosettes can be won for each individual game as well as for placing overall.

There are 8 levels of difficulty. Anyone can enter Levels 1, 2, and 3, but you will need to earn a set number of points to be able to compete from Level 4 onwards.

National Nosework Association (NNA)

The National Nosework Association (NNA) holds trials at various interesting venues that aim to provide unique search challenges. Teams are scored in three key areas: Team Confidence, Area Coverage, and Indication. Trials consist of various elements, ranging from interior, exterior, selection, and vehicle.

There are six stages from Foundation to Elite. In order to compete, an Odour Recognition Test (ORT) must first be completed for that stage.

Medals are awarded to the Winner and Reserve at each trial, and badges are earned by all teams for each successful element. Synergy badges can be earned for exceptional performances.
